Vancouver – Vancouver Police Union President Tom Stamatakis today welcomed news that current Deputy Chief Adam Palmer has been appointed Chief Constable of the Vancouver Police Department (VPD).
“I look forward to starting a fresh dialogue with our Executive team and developing a strong and productive working relationship with Chief Palmer,” said Mr. Stamatakis. “I’m confident that our new executive will have a strong interest in putting the interests of our front-line men and women first.”
“There is no question that our new Chief faces significant challenges, but by working collaboratively I’m certain that the people of Vancouver will continue to enjoy the benefits of having the most professional and accountable police service in the country, ” said Mr. Stamatakis.
